Summer Photos in September
We have been out in the gardens all summer, enjoying the sights and growth of the season. Now it is high time to share a bit of what we have seen.
In search of a gardener...
We made this video last year, but it still seems applicable whenever Edwin is working in a garden.
What a little sun will do...
Early April - A south facing slope gives Edwin the chance to work on a stone project while waiting for the snow piles in other places to melt. We are so glad to be out in the gardens one way or another.
Cleaning up the gardens in the fall keeps us pretty busy, so it is always good to have help. Thanks Richard and Kim!
Many eyes viewed the transformation of this garden from blank slate to fully installed in the last 5 weeks. The project certainly kept us busy! Our garden work is essentially complete now, so the plants can start settling in. There will still be some fences installed soon, and eventually some lights, but the essential design has become reality.
Here is a before and after comparison view, and a view from the middle.
Late afternoon light in the garden - it's looking and feeling like late summer these days. Luckily at least some parts of the garden kept green and growing in the midst of the hot, dry summer we have had.
A place where we can share some photos of gardens we are in and enjoying as the season progresses.
